About
I'm a consulting arborist and horticulturist working with estates in Montecito and Santa Barbara, with 20 years of experience.
I grew up in the South Bay of the Los Angeles area. I started attending college up in the Lake Tahoe area, where I began fighting forest fires. I ended up doing about 10 years on a hotshot crew, a helicopter crew and engine crews throughout the area. I traveled extensively in North America fighting fires during the summers while going to college at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo to earn my Bachelor of Science in Environmental Horticulture.
I moved up to Santa Barbara in 2002, where I managed a large private estate for a great family for 13 years. After that, I opened my own consulting company focusing on local Santa Barbara estates, working with clients and their teams to fine tune gardens and world class botanical collections, do new installations, watch over tree risk, and property management.
I speak fluent Spanish. I'm an avid trail runner and thru hiker, and I spend a lot of time working in the garden.
